Amachi Knoxville (Mentoring Children of Prisoners) and the Knoxville Leadership Foundation would like for you to consider a unique opportunity to directly affect the life and direction of a child in need.
 
Children of prisoners are seven times more likely to end up in prison themselves. This statistic changes when a caring adult takes the time to be involved. These are children that need the positive influence of a friend.
 
The organization is seeking volunteers willing to spend one hour per week for a year. We all spend one hour a week doing activities (grocery shopping, watching television, walking, reading, eating dinner) that could easily involve a child.
 
The need is great for mentors. There are 60 deserving children waiting and ready for a caring adult to enter their life. Help us break the cycle! Work with us and be that caring adult that transforms the life of a child and in doing so transforms our community.
