History of EWA

The lack of a support network for women executives, business owners or professionals was the main reason EWA was formed in 1979. Founding Board members included Lillian Mashburn, Virginia Morrow, Lynn Claiborne and Elizabeth Sheetz. Lillian Mashburn and Virginia Morrow are still active members. EWA’s original membership consisted of approximately 15 – 20 members. Today, we have more than 170 members.
